Queen Bee Honey Shop

During a recent trip to Big Bear on a ladies' weekend, we were happy to find a family-run honey shop as we began entering the town. Inside Queen Bee Honey Shop we were greeted by, the always smiling, Manny. As we shopped around Manny taught us about the varieties of honey and why each batch had names like Alfalfa, Mesquite, Lemon, and many others. Manny was proudly passionate about honey and the company his mother, Mercedes, founded. He took the time to answer any questions, provide samples and explain the process on honey cultivation and the importance of honey bees.

It was a tasty educated shopping experience, so much so that we went twice in three days. Highly recommend purchasing one of their many products from honey sticks and candles to delicious sweet-savory honey.

We purchased for ourselves and gifts for others.

Established in 2021.

Since about 2013 Mercedes has been selling honey but never had her own Honey Store. Two of her sons, Gabe and Manny, separated from the military in 2018 and 2020 and were blessed to have the opportunity to help their mom expand her dream of helping the world have access to healthy food as well as helping the environment. Now the that the store is open in Big Bear Lake, CA. The family trio are trying to teach people about the bees and showing the world how much everyone is able to benefit from a Queen Bee.
