Upper Las Virgenes Open Space Preserve
With more than 5,600-acre Upper Las Virgenes Open Space Preserve located at the western edge of the San Fernando Valley. A favorite place for hikers, runners, mountain bikers, and equestrians riders who enjoy miles of trails in the rolling hills. Enjoy Coastal Oaks and Chaparral as you take pleasure on the trails under the open sky. You may run into bunnies hopping along, hawks circling above, and in the spring the green grasses and wildflowers add to the picturesque scenery.
There are two main entrances one located at the Victory Trailhead located at the western end of Victory Boulevard in West Hills. There is a $3 parking fee at the Victory trailhead parking lot. The second entrance is the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Trailhead at the northern end of Las Virgenes Canyon Road in Calabasas. Some of the many trails link up to the trails just northwest in Agoura's Cheesebro Canyon.
The trails are open to hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians during daylight hours. No unauthorized motorized vehicles are allowed.
With trails rated easy to hard, you can choose your level.
