Adventure Food Friday!! Portuguese Bread

Happy Friday!

Today’s food adventure is brought to you by Viking.TV. The family of Dona Manuela has been baking bread for centuries in Portugal. She has become a local legend in her village due to the combination of ingredients used in her bread. The ingredients are flour, water, salt and yeast. The secret to her bread is the water sourced from the local mountains. Dona Manuela says “It’s filtered by the sun and helps my bread taste like no one else’s.”

Interesting fact about Portugal: on the island of S. Miguel in Azores sits the biggest tea plantation in Europe.
