Nicknamed the “City of Angels”, Los Angeles is a global city with a diverse economy in entertainment, culture, media, arts, fashion, science, sports, technology, education, medicine and research.

Los Angeles is a sprawling Southern California city and is famous for the nation’s film and television industry. Not far from its iconic Hollywood sign, studios such as Paramount Pictures, Universal and Warner Brothers offer behind-the-scenes tours. On Hollywood Boulevard,  Chinese Theater displays celebrities’ hand- and footprints or stroll down the Walk of Fame to see names from the old radio days to today’s top entertainers.

Located on Southern California’s Pacific coast, Los Angeles has long been known as a city of dreams, a place for the dispossessed or disillusioned to start over and rebuild their lives. In the course of the twentieth century it grew to be the second-largest city in the United States and the hub of a five-county metropolitan area, with 88 cities, the first incorporated in 1850.  A tourist magnet known for its sunny climate, beautiful beaches, and entertainment industry, Los Angeles is a colorful, thriving metropolis with cultures from all over the world calling this place “home”.   Los Angeles celebrates many of its cultures within communities such as Olvera Street, China Town and the Fairfax district are just a few examples.   There isn’t a culture food here you cannot find.  Los Angeles is a patchwork of people from all over the world which makes Los Angeles truly a cultural treat.   Whether you like museums, concerts, window shopping, wine tasting, amusement parks, or just simply a walk along the many beaches, you will never be at a loss trying to find something to do.    If your in Los Angeles, Los Angeles is sure to have something that fits your personality and pleasures.
