Congratulations to AB member Jen for an unforgettable evening. We love to see our members create amazing events, bringing women together and making new friends.
Jen’s sweet and scrumptious event, Chocolate and Wine Tasting, was held at TIFA in Camarillo, California. What woman doesn't love a little chocolate with a glass of wine? Anyone? Yeah, we didn't think so. We started this tantalizing delectable journey with Askinosie coconut white milk chocolate from Ecuador which was paired with a mildly fruity and sweet Fact 2017 Chardonnay. The taste combination was smooth and silky. The evening was filled with varieties of flavorful wines and rich chocolates that had us on a journey to places in the world with each bite and sip. A personal favorite of most was Dick Taylor's craft chocolate named Black Fig. We completed the night with the richness or Tanzanie Francois Pralus chocolate paired with Elance Cellars 2017 Reserve Cuvée first aromas in the nose are blackberry, cherry and prune, later, this maturity is expressed by notes of pepper, dark chocolate and toasted oak.
TIFA representative Justin taught us about chocolate, where these perfectly rich chocolates originate from, how they are made, from milk chocolate to the darkest dark. Our journey was not yet complete without, you guessed it, a smooth hot chocolate drink and a truffle of our choice. The wines, courtesy of Maggie the Wind Lady, were incredible from sparkling whites to rich reds. This is one of those events with that repeatability factor written all over it. Can’t wait to see you at our next one. 😊
